Ready Set Learn: A great time had by all!
Preschool and future kindergarten students came for a visit to A.R. Lord Elementary for Ready Set Learn. The events included a visit in the school library to look at books and hear Principal Ms. Car talk about early learning. Afterwards the visiting children and parents/caregivers accompanied the school's primary students to watch a fun musical show by singer-performer: Angela Kelman.

Book Exchange for all Students
A school wide book exchange was held on March 10th at A.R. Lord Elementary School. All classes had the opportunity to go into the gym and check out the hundreds of donated and gently used books that were on display. Students got to take home several free books to read over Spring Break. The students really loved choosing the books and the event was a huge success On behalf of the staff and PAC, we want to thank everyone who donated books and helped make this event something that we hope to host again! Creators Club and the Maker Movement
The creators club is supervised by Teacher Librarian Ms. McCandless and they meet once a week at lunch. The focus is on student lead activities and also provides these young learners the opportunity to organize and teach a skill to the rest of the group.
The maker movement is simply learning by doing or "making". It provides an active and concrete way for all to learn, discover, and create. Children work individually and in groups and sometimes trial and error is the best way to learn.
Make something with your child today!
