Message from BC Lions

Dear A.R. Lord Elementary,

I hope it has been a wonderful school year for all of you. As you know, the BC Lions Football Club has a long history of partnering with school districts throughout the Province of BC to reinforce life skills, deliver positive messaging and invoke social change. 2016 has been a very productive offseason in the community as we completed almost 200 school visits with a variety of programs that ranged from discussing the issues of gender violence through our award winning Be More Than a Bystander program to encouraging students to consider the opportunities available in the trades with our ‘Lions in the House’ program. We have traveled throughout our beautiful province embarking on 11 road trips, visiting Courtenay, Comox, Nanaimo, Kamloops, Salmon Arm, Sicamous, Castlegar, Trail, Nelson, Williams Lake, 100 Mile House, Prince Rupert, Prince George, Fort St. John, Whistler and Squamish. We have also spent considerable time visiting schools all across the Lower Mainland. We want to thank you for the privilege of spending time with your students and staff as we all strive to build stronger, healthier schools and communities.

Before the school season ends we have one last request, that your district participate in our school voucher program. Since 1999, the BC Lions Football Club has distributed vouchers to Elementary school students across the Lower Mainland, reaching approximately 200,000 students each year. This program has received very positive feedback from students and parents who have enjoyed cheering on their BC Lions. This year, we are offering a free kids ticket (12 and under) with the purchase of an adult ticket to three of our summer games.
We would like to thank you for participating in the BC Lions school voucher program in the past and invite you to join in again this year.
Eligible Games:
