At A.R. Lord School we are lucky to have 5 volunteers that work on reading skills one to one with our students. These are volunteers from the larger community; they do not have children in the school themselves. They are great role models and foster a love of literature and confidence in the young students they work with. They give much of their time helping individuals have even more success with reading.These volunteers have been trained by the One to One Literacy Program and are coordinated by our Resource Teacher, Ms. Poletti. This is a wonderful program and we thank the volunteers for their commitment to our students. We are all very proud of the achievements of our young readers!
