Update on Community Book Exchange Box

Installation of the community book exchange box is in progress.  Volunteers have been busy building this beautiful new home for books to be shared amongst the community, between students and our neighbours.  It is being installed in the cul-de-sac area on Turner street  near the school.  The concept behind this is: "like a bookstore, but all the books are free!" People can bring a couple of books at a time, put them on the shelf and others can browse when they pass by and take a book that interests them.  It also serves as a way to strengthen our community.

Funding was obtained through a community small grant and organized by Dr. A.R. Lord families.  Props to Sara, Phil, Linda and Linda for making this a reality.  The finishing touches will be completed soon and we will be doing a callout for book donations to kick start the sharing, reading and love of books.
